This double page spread from 'Blender' magazine interviews the band 'Electrik Red'. The magazine is aimed at both men and women middle ages, as the band is also middle aged. The magazines targets men as they will be attracted to the women as they are good looking and have voluptuous figures that they are confidently showing off. On the other hand the article is also targeted at women as they would also aspire to be confident and have a nice figure like 'Electrik Red'. 

The article consists of two main images, each one with the four band members. The left image if the band indicates what the band is about. The image shows they 'Electrik Red' are glamorous and confident due to the fact they are not only wearing tight clothes but happily touching each others bodies, implying they are all kind and friendly toward one another. Also the girls face expression show they are happy and confident as they are looking directly at the camera. The girls are wearing mostly black portrays the band to be mysterious, therefore the audience want to know more about them. The colour black also connotes power and authority but also style.

The image to the right is an establishing shot. It portrays the girls as classy as their leaning against a stylish car, outside a large and elegant white house, showing the band have wealth and power. All the band members in this image are wearing unique cloths showing individuality. This image has a range of colours to show the band have a  humble balance, thus the audience to have a happy mood as its colourful and caters to all people with different likings, suggesting the article is not limited. The layout of the right page places the image directly at the top to show their power and authority.

The font used by the magazine for the 'Electrik Red' article is simple yet modern which also represents the pop culture. The article is structured into columns which shows organisation, consequently making it easier for the audience to understand, also due to the simple font of the text, hence the audience will want to read the article. 

 Blender, the name of the magazine implies that the magazine caters to all kinds of people as it has a 'blend' music, as it features artists such as, Fergie, Lil Wayne and Britney Spears. The band name 'Electrik Red' is of great importance to this article as its name name of the band. The use of wrong spelling shows that their "not your average girl group" as they dont go by the rules, showing their different, as a result the readers want to know more about them. In addition another sign of rebellion is the fact that they use 'Electrik red' rather than blue. Blue is connoted as more of a colour for males as a result they use red as its seen as a colour of lust, a feeling that many males may have toward the girl band.
